
Dunes Village Resort in Myrtle Beach
Home to Myrtle Beach’s only indoor waterpark, Dunes Village Resort is a high-rise oceanfront resort that continues to receive top accolades from family travel magazines and other leisure publications. Situated in the north end of town, the resort offers clean, comfortable, condo-type rooms, amenities galore, and close proximity to the beach and all the attractions, shopping areas, and restaurants in Myrtle Beach.
The accommodations at the Dunes Village Resort range from smaller studio units to large four-bedroom condos. Many of the units face the ocean and provide excellent views of the sand and the water. Other units have an angled view of the water. Studio rooms include a king bed and sofa bed or two double beds, a kitchenette with full-size appliances, 2 TVs, and a dining area. One bedroom suites can include one king or two queen beds, bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs, and additional sofa and wall beds. Kitchens are full and include granite countertops, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The two-bedroom condos at Dunes Village Resort come in five different configurations and include as many as four queen-sized beds and a sofa and wall bed, perfect for large families or groups traveling together. There are also a limited number of three- and four-bedroom units with multiple bathrooms (some with Jacuzzis), 4 TVs, and deluxe full kitchens.
Dunes Village Resort is home to a 30,000 square-foot indoor water park that includes adult-sized slides, lazy rivers, water play areas, pools, water basketball courts, and so much more. Just steps away is the Amuzement Zone, an area where kids and adults can enjoy a game of pool, table tennis, shuffleboard, or checkers. There’s also a tennis court and basketball court on the premises.
The Dunes Village Resort Kidz program provides parents a chance to take advantage of a little alone time while the kids are entertained with arts and crafts activities, pool games, scavenger hunts, and much more. (The club is free but some activities may require a nominal fee.)
The resort also boasts a special partnership with the new Cinzia Spa at North Beach Plantation, a 17,000 square-foot facility that offers not only a large menu of relaxing spa treatments but also a sizeable state-of-the-art fitness center and a medical spa, which offers integrative medical and holistic services.
Onsite restaurants include the Admiral’s Room, which serves a buffet breakfast; the Captain’s Café Oceanfront Deck, where guests can enjoy light fare served by the pool; the Captain’s Café, which specializes in seafood; Captain’s Café Lounge, a good place to enjoy a refreshing alcoholic beverage and light food; the outdoor Cabana Tiki Bar; and a Seattle’s Best Coffee stand, which serves coffee, pastries, bagels, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches.
Dunes Village Resort employs a staff of golf directors who are on hand to organize a golf vacation for those who are headed to Myrtle Beach specifically to enjoy the more than 100 courses in the area, or for those who just want to play a round or two while vacationing with their family. Guests can also build there own golf package via the hotel’s internet site.
