The House of Blues is sort of a bar/restaurant/concert hall wrapped into one. A lot of musicians play here, ranging from blues, country, jazz, gospel, to rock. There are a number of them around the United States, but the Myrtle Beach one has some special events that are worth going to:
Gospel Brunch - This is a neat idea. It's gospel music, on Sundays, at 9:00 AM by a band called Glory. It costs $19, but you better get there early, because you can't get a ticket beforehand and it's first-come, first served. If you want a nice breakfast before church to get you into the mood, this is for you.
Murder Mystery Dinner Theater - They're well-known for this one as well. It's an evening event - you have dinner, and a murder happens mid-course. The audience participates in the mystery, and everyone's a potential suspect. It's a little expensive - about $40 for a ticket, but a fun evening.
Teen Night - They do this on weekends for the kids. They turn the concert hall into a dance floor, meant for teenagers 13-17. It's pretty cheap, at $10 a ticket.
They've also got a lot of non-regular shows - ranging from comedy routines to folk art shows to bands to more specific versions of the Murder Mystery Night. They've got a pretty extensive menu that you can view online here - there's no real theme to it, but it's diverse enough that you don't really have to worry about not liking the kind of food there.
