Island Vista Resort in Myrtle Beach  

A luxury resort that is situated in a residential area of Myrtle Beach, the Island Vista Resort is a family-owned and operated hotel that offers not only a comfortable place to sleep but also a host of other amenities that make a stay at this beach destination complete. The resort touts “Barefoot Luxury”, a concept that promotes beautiful surroundings and plenty of pampering but in an atmosphere that remains relaxed and casual.

 
   

 

  

 

The 12-story, 149 room resort is an all-suite hotel. That means each room features more than a just a bed and bath. Standard guestrooms as well as one, two, three, and four bedroom units are available and all are decorated with British West Indies-inspired furnishings. In each unit, guests will find top-quality appointments including granite countertops, tray ceilings, upgraded tile flooring, and much more. All rooms are either oceanfront, with a direct view of the Atlantic, or ocean view, with a slightly obscured view. Each suite includes a large living area and each bedroom has its own bathroom, regardless of the size of the unit. In the three- and four-bedroom units, guests will find large master suites that include bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs, double sinks, granite counters, a separate shower, and more. Other amenities in the suites include kitchens with full-size appliances, large balconies, washer and dryer, multiple televisions with DVD players, and wired or wireless internet.

Amenities at the Island Vista Resort include plenty of water attractions, including three indoor and outdoor pools; indoor and outdoor hot tubs; a kids’ area with an ancient ruins theme that features a lazy river, tunnel, waterfall and more; a tanning lawn; an oceanfront veranda, an oceanfront massage cabana, and a tiki deck.

The Island Vista Kids Club includes a complete schedule of activities for children ages 5 to 12. Run by college student interns from all around the world, the program provides parents with an opportunity to relax without the kids for several hours each day. Activities include pool games, scavenger hunts, sandcastle building, and much more. Most activities are free of charge. The resort also offers a “parents night out” once a week, allowing parents to enjoy dinner and evening activities sans the kids.

There’s also a fairly sizeable fitness room at the Island Vista Resort that includes cardio equipment and weight stations. Spa services are offered in the outdoor cabana or in the privacy of the guest suites. Several types of massages or facials are available and appointments are essential.

Dining at the Island Vista includes the Cypress Room, which specializes in European-influenced Low Country cuisine. Breakfast and dinner are served daily in this oceanfront restaurant. There’s also a full service bar with alternate seating available. A private dining area can be rented for meetings or receptions.

An on-staff golf director helps those on a golf holidays choose the courses to play and can set up tee times and other essentials. Golf vacations can be booked online or by calling the resort.

The Island Vista Resort has plenty of room for group meetings and other special events, including a 2,300-square-foot ballroom, which can be turned into two breakout rooms. Audio-visual and catering services are available for all group events.
