The Long Bay Resort is an oceanfront resort that consists of a variety of different kinds of rooms, including condos, efficiencies, suites, and traditional hotel rooms. It's a family oriented resort, with a number of different pools, a kiddie pool called the "Silly Submarine" pool that has a giant submarine to play in, a lazy river, a video game room, and volleyball on the beach. They've generally got good parking and clean and spacious rooms. The view is excellent as well if you get a condo overlooking the beach side, and they've got a good sauna and a spacious exercise area. The other good thing is that the pools are well-heated, which can be very important because the water can otherwise get cold even during prime vacation season depending on the weather.
Long Bay is generally a very good resort and gets high recommendations among the people who've been there. I looked around for complaints on the Internet and found surprisingly few compared to a lot of the other resorts I've looked at. The downside is that it's a little more expensive than some of the others as well - but if you want quality, expect to pay for it.
The potential problems: It's not really next to any of the major attractions, so you might have to cab it or get a rental car. Also make sure you ask them the difference between "Ocean View" and "Ocean Front View." That's a very confusing way to name the rooms, and Ocean Front View are the ones that actually face the beach - the others don't have a direct view of it.
