Marina Inn at Grand Dunes
A luxury hotel located between the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach, the attractive Marina Inn at Grand Dunes is far enough away from the hubbub of the center of town to provide a peaceful stay but close enough for visitors to enjoy all that this beach town has to offer. Situated on 2,200 acres, it’s truly a full service resort that provides guests with more than just a place to sleep.
There are 200 large guest rooms and suites at the Marina Inn, available in several different configurations. The 450 square-foot Grande Rooms offer one king or two queen beds, large bathroom with separate shower, European bed linens, comfy robes, DVD/CD players, wireless internet, and much more. The larger Studio room includes all the amenities of the Grande guestrooms plus a small kitchenette that includes a wet bar with sink and a mini-refrigerator and microwave. The smallest of the suites, the Mediterranean Club Suite, includes a full kitchen, a fireplace, and a separate bedroom with a king bed. In the 1,200 square-foot two bedroom suite, guests enjoy a terrace overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and 2 king beds or a king and 2 queens. There’s even a fully-equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer in this suite. There are also 3- and 4-bedroom suites available that offer up to 3,300 square-feet of space and two levels of living. Balconies provide views of the marina or the Intracoastal and as many as three bathrooms are included in these enormous suites.
The amenities available at the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes are numerous. The Oceanfront Beach Club is the marina’s private beach, which includes complete facilities for all hotel guests and features lounge chairs, hammocks, beach umbrellas, towels, and everything needed for a fun and stress-free day at the beach. The onsite Cabana at the Beach Club serves light fare and beverages throughout the day. Shuttle service is available to the beach all day during the summer.
Other amenities include a children’s activity program that includes free and paid activities for a variety of ages; an infinity pool and two hot tubs; an indoor pool and fitness center that are open 24 hours a day for the convenience of guests; a sauna; in-room spa services that can be enjoyed in ultimate privacy; bicycle rentals; two onsite golf courses and a golf academy; jet ski and boat rentals; a 5,000 square-foot tennis club; and personal resort services that include a full-service concierge, valet parking, a 24-hour business center, twice daily housekeeping service, and morning coffee and afternoon refreshments served daily in the lobby.
Dining opportunities at the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes include Waterscapes, a restaurant that offers fresh farm-to-table dining and has been lauded as one of the best restaurants in the Low Country of North and South Carolina. This elegant yet casual restaurant serves all three meals. In addition, the hotel’s Anchor Café sits on the waterway and serves bistro food and tropical cocktails in a setting where guests can admire the view and the sunsets. It’s open for lunch and dinner. Reflections, situated just off the main lobby, serves drinks and light fare. Room service is also available from early in the morning until approximately 10 pm.
The Marina Inn at Grand Dunes is an excellent place for
weddings and other special events and offers an elegant ballroom that can
accommodate up to 300 guests banquet-style. Catering services are available
and can be suited to a variety of tastes, and on-site event coordinators can
help with everything from flowers to finding a minister or other officiant.
Facilities for business meetings and events are also plentiful and the same
amenities and services are available to corporate clients who choose to hold
events at the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes.
