Mt. Atlanticus is a combination indoor / outdoor miniature golf course that has a unique origin: it was built inside and on top of an old department store and its parking garage. Weird idea, but it is well designed and nationally recognized as one of the best mini golf courses in Myrtle Beach. The theme of the course is actually around this idea: how the heck did a mini-golf course get in a department store? They have their own myth centered around Atlantis, complete with critters like dodo birds, ostriches, and mythical things like a fountain of youth. It has a tropical, tiki-hut spotted design with lots of palm trees surrounding the putting greens. They've got a neat hole at the end: an extremely difficult, 20 foot sloping strip that is only a few inches wide. If you can putt down it into the hole, you win a lifetime pass - something some people have successfully done.
It will cost you about $7-8 a game, depending on what time you go, but you might just want to get an all day pass for $9 and play both their courses.
