Myrtle Beach Grand Prix Family Amusement Park

This is a family amusement park that is centered around a racing theme, including everything from go-karts to Formula One Racing Cars that you need a driver's license to operate. Admission and parking are free, and you pay by the ride - a great deal if you've got kids who want to ride and parents who want to watch. Most of the rides are things that kids of all ages can go on, and it is a very safety-oriented place.

They have the park divided up into three zones:

Kids Zone - Stuff that is slow-paced so that kids of all ages are going to be fine with it. This is stuff like a ferris wheel, a carousel, balloon rides, and slower family roller coasters.

Thrill Zone - This is the stuff that is a little faster paced and might be too scary for the very youngest kids. It's still not insanely fast stuff - we're talking about stuff like bumper cars, a Tilt-a-Whirl, and some moderately-fast roller coasters.

Race Zone - These are a variety of different kinds of go-karts or things you can race against each other. It's where the park gets its name, and except for the Formula Grand Prix they are rides that kids of all ages can enjoy.

It costs about $30 to get an all-day pass to do anything in the park, $20 for the kids/thrill zone only, and $25 for the racing zone only.

The address of the Myrtle Beach Grand Prix Park is:

3900 Highway 17 S

North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582

843-272-7770

They have a map with driving directions on their official website here. You can view the main site itself here, and some random photos that some people put online of it here that show a couple of the rides.
