Myrtle Beach Hotels
If you want your vacation to be a fun one in Myrtle Beach, you're going to have to think about your hotel. Because it's a tourist town, you generally won't have any trouble finding a reservation. However, you should plan ahead anyway because the prime hotels may be more difficult to get into. The most important factor you should think about is the distance between the hotel and the attractions you plan on going to. If it's a golf vacation, this takes on special importance. If you want to make tee-time, you need to be at least somewhere nearby. This is complicated somewhat by the fact that North Myrtle Beach is separate and a little bit away from the city of Myrtle Beach. There are some excellent, famous golf courses in North Myrtle Beach, but they'll be a bit of a drive. Make sure you do some distance checking between the hotel you want and the address of all the courses you plan on going to (this is easily done with the hotel address and the golf course address on Yahoo or Mapquest). Fairfield Inn by Marriott - Broadway at the Beach - This is in a particularly good location because it's in one of the major tourist areas. Broadway at the Beach is a cluster of all kinds of different attractions, and you'll likely find yourself there at some point in your vacation. Days Inn Grand Strand - They've got a number of cheaper motels that you can get a room in. 1-800-448-8261.
Holiday Inn Express - Another good, last minute hotel. 1-800-222-5783.
A lot of people skip the hotel thing entirely, though because there are many good resorts and condos available. Lots of them are located directly on the beach, which makes them great for family vacations. You can get these or a timeshare fairly easily, so you might want to look into that as well.
