Jet skis are a fun way to spend the day in any beach area, and like most places Myrtle Beach has a number of different companies that will rent them out to you for a few hours or for the day.
Captain Dick's Watersports - This is a company based out of Murrells Inlet, which is just south of Myrtle Beach itself. They rent a number of different kinds of water equipment, and they do jet skis for 1, 2, or 3 people. They give you a 45 minute ride, for $75 and $10 for each additional person riding. They take you along a route with a safety escort, so it's sort of like a tour. Children can ride, but they have to be big enough to fit in a life jacket. You can contact them at:

Harbourgate Water Sports - Another company that rents jet skis, they're located in North Myrtle Beach. They also do guided tours which last 2 hours, which is kind of a neat trip, because they take you around several different islands and some areas where dolphins commonly hang out. Myrtle Beach Water Sports - This is a company that has a bunch of different locations. They are basically set up in different parts of the beach where tourists congregate, and if you haven't seen them in a particular spot it's probably best to call ahead and see where one of their locations is - they've got them both in North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle itself. They rent Yamaha jet skis, including several family models that can hold three people on them at a time. They rent by the half-hour or the hour.

Water Sports - This is another rental company, not in Myrtle itself but
pretty close - a couple of minutes driving from downtown. Jet Skis are $79 an
hour, and they have a deal where you can get them for $260 for half a day.
