Pier 14 is a fishing pier in Myrtle Beach with a restaurant of the same name located there. You can go there to fish, go to the restaurant, or eat there outside and watch people trying to find a catch. The restaurant is primarily seafood - you can view a full menu here. Lunch tends to be pretty cheap, $6-$10, and dinner is moderately priced at around $15-20 for most dishes. The various kinds of fish they have under the "Seven Seas" part of their menu are probably the best - it's fresh, good fish straight from the fishermen in the area. The prime rib is good, and so are the crab sandwiches if you're going there for lunch. It's a little different feel because most of the seafood restaurants in the area are buffets, but this is probably a more familiar atmosphere for most people.
If you want to go fishing yourself, then the pier is open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and a pass costs $6 or $3 if you live in the area and have ID. You can walk the pier without having to pay. This is cheaper than most of the other piers in the area, and a lot of them charge just to get onto the pier itself.
